110+ Grants Open Right Now July 2026

Funding for Every Entrepreneur - with Spotlights on Manufacturing, Authors & Writers, Logistics, and Retail

Grant funding doesn't announce itself. Application windows open quietly, close quickly, and most business owners find out about them after the deadline has passed. That's exactly why we publish this roundup every month, so the money finds you before the deadline does.

Our July 2026 list is the most comprehensive we've ever put together: over 110 verified opportunities for entrepreneurs at every stage. And this month, we've gone deeper on four industries our community keeps asking about - manufacturing, retail, logistics, and writing - with dedicated spotlight sections for each.

The full grant database is attached as a downloadable document - organized by industry and region, with amounts, target audiences, deadlines, and direct application links for every opportunity. July deadlines are flagged in red.

This Month's Industry Spotlights

Manufacturing

There has never been more federal attention on small manufacturers. The SBA's Made in America Manufacturing Initiative is funding free, hands-on training and workforce development nationwide, and states are following suit - Indiana's Manufacturing Readiness Grants alone offer up to $200,000 for smart-technology investments. The list also covers export grants, rural equipment funding, and the free consulting available through your state's Manufacturing Extension Partnership center.

Retail, Food & E-Commerce

Retailers have some of the most immediate money on this month's list. The Brooklyn Pitch Competition is awarding $450,000 in unrestricted funding - including a $150,000 grand prize - with applications closing July 25. Faire is helping new independent retailers stock their shelves, American Express is backing community-anchored storefronts, and there are dedicated funds for restaurants and food entrepreneurs.

Logistics & Transportation

Trucking and logistics owners are chronically underserved by grant lists, so we built a section just for you: rural business development grants of up to $500,000, fleet modernization funding, federal contracting access through the SBA 8(a) program, and support pathways for veteran-owned transport businesses.

Authors & Writers

Writers, July is your month. The Center for Fiction's Emerging Writer Fellowship - $5,000 plus a year of mentorship, workspace, and access to editors and agents - is accepting applications only through July 31. The section also includes six-figure fellowships, emergency funds, residencies, and the most overlooked resource in publishing: your own state arts council, where fellowships of $500 to $15,000 are often far less competitive than national awards.

 Beyond the Spotlights

The rest of the list covers all entrepreneurs across five regions - United States, Africa, Canada, UK/Ireland, and Global. A few highlights worth your attention this month:

•     AT&T Small Business Contest - $50,000 grand prize for US small businesses. Closes July 31.

•     CO-100 from the US Chamber - up to $20,000 for high-performing small businesses. Closes July 22.

•     Accelerate Africa - up to $500,000 in investment for early-stage African founders, from the team behind Flutterwave and Andela. Closes July 25.

•     Hugo Burge Foundation (UK) - a £50,000 fund for individual creatives. Closes July 31.

•     Quarterly grants just reopened - Breva Thrive, Secretsos, and Outta Excuses all opened new windows July 1, meaning less competition for early applicants.

How to Use the Grant List

The attached document is organized into tables with consistent columns: grant name, amount, target audience, grant type, deadline, and a description with a clickable link. Here's the fastest path through it:

•     Start with your industry spotlight. If you're in manufacturing, retail, logistics, or writing, your section is at the top.

•     Then check your region. The general sections cover every type of business across the US, Africa, Canada, UK/Ireland, and globally.

•     Red deadlines first. Anything flagged red closes this month - prioritize those applications this week.

•     Don't skip the rolling grants. Monthly and quarterly programs like the Amber Grant and NASE Growth Grant are some of the most winnable funding on the list.

•     Verify at the source. Every entry links directly to the funder. Confirm eligibility and deadlines before you invest time in an application.

3 Quick Tips Before You Apply

1. Match the funder's language

A manufacturing grant wants to hear about jobs and capacity. A retail grant wants community impact. A writing fellowship wants the work itself. Same business, same you - but every application should be tailored to what that specific funder is trying to accomplish.

2. Apply early in quarterly windows

Several programs on this list opened new quarters on July 1. Applications submitted early in a cycle often get more careful review - and you avoid the deadline-day portal crash that disqualifies more applicants than you'd think.

3. Stack small wins

Microgrants of $500 to $4,000 are easier to win, faster to receive, and build the track record that larger funders look for. A few small awards on your resume make your next big application significantly stronger.

Keep Going

Billions in grant funding goes unclaimed every year - not because businesses aren't qualified, but because they never found out the money existed. You just did. The list is attached, the deadlines are marked, and several of the biggest opportunities close before the month is out.
